Books and Published Works
Since 1985, my colleagues and I have published over 75 refereed publications in peer-reviewed technical journals, with contributions from graduate and undergraduate students. Topics range from green chemistry and engineering, fundamentals of sustainability, and STEM education. My skill at providing non-technical descriptions of scientific issues has resulted in more than 100 additional publications on a range of similar topics, including STEM education, diversity and inclusion, and research success. Recent emphasis has been on challenges of sustainability that have included description of how individuals can become engaged in creating a more sustainable society.
Environmental Progress & Sustainable Energy is a publication of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers reporting on critical issues of the environment, including remediation and treatment of solid or aqueous wastes, air pollution, sustainability, and sustainable energy. Published six times a year, each issue helps engineers and scientists stay on top of technological advances in all areas associated with the environment primarily through peer-reviewed technical manuscripts, short letters, or review articles.
